The suites provide communal lounge and dining areas which have small servery kitchens, communal w.c.’s and assisted bathrooms in addition to those provided in bedrooms.

 

At the Malthouse you can arrange to see a hairdresser or chiropodist and have a daily paper / magazine delivered. The County Library service visit and provide us with a small library of large print books which are regularly changed. We have a range of social activitives. Listening books are readily available.

 

All personal laundry is undertaken by the home, but we do require clothing to be clearly marked with woven name tapes or other suitable marking. The Malthouse has recently renewed its laundry equipment and we pride ourselves in clean laundry.

 

Meals are served in a flexible way allowing a choice of menu. The main luncheon of the day is prepared in our commercial kitchen. We provide breakfast, luncheon, tea and / or supper. In addition morning coffee and afternoon tea are provided on a flexible basis. We encourage more able bodied residents to make themselves a cup of tea. Particular dietary needs are catered for.
